We are very lucky in being one of the few pubs in the area with a skittle alley, this having been converted from the old stable block at the rear of the building.  It even includes its own well.  The skittle alley is very popular both for the fun of the game, and for use as a function room (see above).  If you have an important anniversary, birthday, or work or club function coming up, why not get in touch?  Old-fashioned skittles is great fun and a great ice-breaker. The skittle alley is also used as the venue for our annual beer festival, which is held over the last weekend of February. This is definitely an event to brighten up late winter, with up to 20 real ales on offer, most of which are sourced from small micros around the UK, with many being served by gravity straight from the cask.
