About Us

The Four Chesnuts is a traditional community pub situated a short distance from Chichester's historic city centre.  Run by licensees Julie Boyle and Peter Lowe since 2006, the pub has built up a reputation for the quality of its home made food and real ales, the latter earning a regular place in Camra's Good Beer Guide which has listed the pub for close on a decade. The real ales comes from family breweries such as Timothy Taylor and local micros, and include Ballard's Midhurst Mild – but there is a wide range of other drinks (long, short and non-alcoholic) including Guinness, lagers, ciders, wines, spirits, cocktails, J2O, soft drinks, etc. Our opening hours are as follows:

Several recent visitors have asked about our dog policy. The Four Chesnuts is a dog-friendly pub; all we ask is that your dog is well behaved.
