Introduction

At The Four Chesnuts, we believe in being part of the local community.  Activities like our Sunday meat raffle are used to raise money for charity, and a donation from the proceeds is made once a quarter to a deserving local cause.  Recent charities that we have supported include the local cancer hospice and 'Classrooms for Kenya', which is run by The Weald School.

We also host a wide variety of community activities, including both regular and 'on demand' events.

Regular Events

  • Mondays at 7:30 p.m. – Pub Poker League (free entry)
  • Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. – Chichester Folk Club (free entry except when special guests have been booked)
  • Many Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. – a pub quiz with spot, wine and cash prizes. £1 entrance fee. Individuals and teams of up to 4 welcome.
  • Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. – Pub Poker League (free entry)
  • Saturdays at 9:00 p.m. – Live music by a local band (free entry)
  • Sundays at 2:00 p.m. – Our weekly meat raffle
  • Sundays at 4:00 p.m. – Our weekly cash poker game (£5 entry)

On Demand Events

  • Sky Sport – available for most big sporting fixtures
  • Spirit FM's 'Battle of the Boozers' – local pub quiz teams fight it out for the kudos of being the brainiest boozer of the year
     

Special Events

If you have anything special coming up – birthday, anniversary, retirement or anything else – get in touch to discuss what we can offer. You may be surprised! With our integral skittle alley, we can even host children's birthday parties and lay on something special, as you can see above. All you have to do is supply the children!
